AKULA K-317 Panther

The Russian Akula is known to be the fastest submarine in the world and can be regarded as the most innovative submarine vessel Russia ever had. The Akula acts as the counterpart of the American Los Angeles class.

Like the original the model is also quite fast with a maximum speed of approx. 10 km/h (submerged).

The superstructure is made of GRP. The outer hull is covered with realistic details (scribed).

The kit comes complete with:
• Hull unit with lower hull, upper hull, middle deck and bulk head all made of GRP
• Dive planes, sonar, rudders and rudder carriers cast in resin
• Drive unit complete with motor, gear box, coupling, shaft, bearing and brass scimitar prop
• Accessories such as linkeages, screws, seals etc.
• Lead ballast (approx. 3 kg)
• Polyester resin and micro balloons.
• Plans 1:1 and instructions in English
• Complete diving system consisting of two 500ml piston tanks and switch unit TAE, TAES or TMAX.
